About Palmer Projects

Palmer Project owner (Kim Palmer) has over 30 years in the Building, Joinery, Interior Decor and Landscaping environment. From 1997 to 2000 (after the move from Gauteng) Kim worked specifically in the shopfitting arena, this involved working for mainly large corporate clients such as Ratanga Junction, FNB and Vodacom.

During this time and after the renovation of a friend's guest house a number of International guests asked for assistance with their properties in Cape Town, and as a result the majority of our clients are from abroad. We believe this is because we offer a full service from concept, right through to purchasing the cutlery, crockery, bedding and linens, appliances and even going the extra mile of purchasing the coffee for the coffee machine if necessary.

As an added service to our International clients we have also taken on the management and caretaking of these properties once the project is complete, thereby offering a full turnkey service when and wherever necessary.

Due to the nature of what we offer, our clients tend to be long term clients which is unusual in this industry.

For all our clients but in particular our South African clients we offer the full service or any part thereof including, consultation (based on an hourly rate) for clients wishing to manage projects on their own.

Though all our teams are subcontractors, we do have a core team of electricians, plumbers and excellent builders. We are therefore able to work on projects that are both big and small as the subcontractor resources are at our fingertips.

Focus

Our primary focus is on building and renovating upmarket residential properties. We offer full project services which covers from concept and design to plans, sourcing, procurement, building, manufacture and installation thereof and overall project management.

We also offer a consultation service in any one or more of our fields of expertise.

Philosophy

Constantly keeping in mind the non-negotiable importance of good design and quality workmanship but working within a client's budget.

We believe that when designing a home, the use of space should be maximized with the consideration of practicality, this should always enhance the ease of living which is of major importance.
